Poetry
Christian Wethered has been published widely in Ireland and the UK. In 2017 he was in ‘Poetry Ireland Introductions Series’, and he has since featured in 'Poetry Ireland', 'The Moth' 'The Caterpillar', 'Ink, Sweat and Tears' and 'The Madrigal'. In 2018 he was anthologised in 'Writing Home’ (Dedalus), 'Local Wonders' (Dedalus) and ‘Best of New British and Irish Poets’ (Eyewear). Also this year, his work formed part of the David Fox exhibition at the Olivier Cornet Gallery, while his first pamphlet, ‘I Don’t Love You’ (Eyewear) was published. In 2019 and he was runner up in 'Cafe Writers' 'Live Canon' and the 'Aesthetica' single poem competitions. In 2020 he was awarded a PhD Development Fund by UCD, as well as funding from 'Arts and Disability Ireland’. His debut full collection, 'Harbour', recently won the 2021 Hume Prize, and is due in 2023 with The Black Spring Press.
